My dog is 4 years old and 10 lbs. She went from being happy and energetic to depressed and not wanting to really eat or drink water. She had diarrhea and was vomiting, and I took her to the vet and after x rays and blood work, the cost was about $1,500 to have the hernia fixed. I took her to another vet today and he said her hernia could cause her to die, and it would cost me $1,400. I'm 23 and I just graduated from college I barely have enough money to pay for my own bills let alone this amount for my precious baby. :( I am so sad about this and refuse to put her down. Do these prices seem ridiculous or is this normally what a surgery like this would cost? I live in Claremont, CA if anyone has any recommendations to a vet that is less expensive. Thanks!...
